QA Engineer:

Test Development:

a) Automation (WinRunner, SilkTest) 5 – 15 test cases per day.
b) Manual (Test Director, MS Word) 10 – 30 test cases per day.

Test Execution:

a) Automated (WinRunner, SilkTest) 300 – 600 test cases per day.
b) Manual (Test Director, MS Word) 30 – 70 test cases per day.
c) Manual (Other Test Frameworks i.e.VSDPG) 70 – 100 test cases per day.

Perfect Reports:

a) Depends on the number of failed test cases, however we expect one tester to be able to prepare and submit up to 20 bug reports per day.


Software Developers:

• 120 - 180 debugged and well-documented code lines per day (code is written according to client specification). This number depends on quality and complexity of the product’s functional and design specifications.
• 200 – 250 debugged but not documented code lines (code is written according to client specification).
• 350 – 400 debugged coded lines (free-lance programming).

System Administrators and IT support engineers:

• Each system administrator is expected to maintain up to 15 configured UNIX servers, remotely.
• Each IT support engineer is expected to maintain up to 25 workstations.

Data Base Administrators (DBA):

• Each XIM DBA is expected to maintain and support a data base (s) with a size of 1 Terabytes with availability of 99.999%.
