Increasing number of clients and quantity of requested parts, minimizing time for search required.

Challenge: BAI staff requires constant access to information from numerous data sources. They need to automate the process of searching to simplify and optimize their work.

Solution:
XIM, Inc. has created a new system AutoQ providing automated control of buying and selling processes. AutoQ is designed for companies working with many suppliers with the need of constant access to information from various data sources. AutoQ addresses such issues and challenges as paper-based processes for approvals, manual data entry, or outdated supplier information, etc. It turns these manual processes into electronic data solutions and integrates them into BAI internal business systems. This real time information is available to all BAI procurement and sales components and enhances and simplifies numerous business transactions.

Industry: Travel and hotel business

Business situation & objectives:
Small amount of hotels at reasonable prices in Barcelona. The growing popularity of Barcelona among tourists.

Challenge: BBVA bank, information on discounts and reservations of each hotel.

Solution:
Site creation designed for solving problems with hotel reservations for tourists coming to Barcelona

Technologies:
Python, PostgreSQL, cheetah, jquery, PIL. Integration with PayPal and BBVA

Scope of the project: 9 months

Benefits:
The site offers discounts for long stay. It is possible to add new landlord, thus extending the number of available apartments. Growing popularity among tourists. In the near future new payment methods though WebMoney will be added to the site.

Case Study 3

Industry: Business & Legal Software Development

Business situation & objectives:
XIM Inc. and PSS Systems partnered for running dedicated development center at XIM's offshore offices. Our development and QA teams extensively participated in the development of Atlas (Information Governance Suite for enterprise legal processes support and data management).

Challenge: Creation of complex web-based software with user interface, modules for user authentication and integration with 3rd party systems, security modules and trial version option as well as an SDK for 3rd party developers. Automation of large number of test cases and building of fully automated testing system.

Solution:
Our developers participated in creation of JSF- and GWT-components and styles for UI used application wide, porting to GWT, design and development of new functionality: user authentication module, integration with third parties DBs modules, licensing and illegal copy protection module, and other modules, they also created SDK for development of Atlas-integrated modules by third parties, and completed many other works. Our QA specialists created fully automated testing framework on the basis of SilkRoad. The system is capable of automated builds deployment, monitoring the process of test execution (hang-ups and errors protection), real time results representation, saving of historical data, automatic repository syncing. The system integrates SilkTest with Testopia to unify processes of test management for both automated and manual testing. Our engineers also created a number of test plans for Atlas functional testing.

It is relied upon by 7 of the Fortune 10, 5 of the Global 10, and leaders in every industry, including Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Swiss Re, Wells Fargo, GE, VW, Exxon, etc. That led to acquisition of PSS Systems by IBM in 2010.
