Data Mining
Data mining enables you to discover hidden patterns and relationships in large amounts of data. Data mining solves a common paradox: the more customer data you have, the more difficult and time-consuming it is to effectively analyze and draw meaning from it. What should be a gold mine often lies unexplored, due to a lack of personnel, time or expertise. XIM offers a wealth of hands-on and advisory experience in a range of data mining algorithms, industries, and applications. XIM expertise in powerful analytic technologies enables our clients to quickly and thoroughly explore mountains of data, isolating the valuable, usable information - the business intelligence:
- Advanced statistical techniques
- Algebra evolvers
- Bayesian networks
- Case-based reasoning
- Chaotic and fractal decomposition
- Concept induction
- Decision trees
- Entropy analysis (information theory)
- Evolution and genetic optimization
- Evolution programming
- Information theory
- Neural technologies
- Self-Organizing Maps (SOMs)
Data Marts
Data Mart models focus on specific data requirements for defined business areas or functions. XIM constructs Data Marts to ensure consistent, integrated data across each Data Mart within overall enterprise data architecture. This means that Data Marts can either stand alone, or can draw upon parts of other Data Marts as required - users can select the data they require as if they were choosing building blocks for a job.
Benefits:
- Data Mart models are versatile. They can be used independently, integrated with other Data Mart models, or linked together to construct a full Data Warehouse.
- By implementing Data Mart models within a larger framework, clients ensure that the sum of their architecture will ultimately fit - the 'big picture' is immediately available.
- Data Marts are faster to build and more manageable because they represent a more narrow focus.
- While the Data Mart technology can address immediate tactical requirements, it can also be extended to meet an organization’s broader, integrated information requirements- either as linked Data Marts or under Data Warehouse architecture.
XIM Data Marts are available in either relational or star schema (OLAP) format. OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) tools are required for true analysis of the huge amounts of data organized in the Data Warehouse. XIM-built Data Marts are ready-to-use as a data source for leading analytical, OLAP, data mining and reporting tools
