ACADEMIC SYSTEMS

A team of XIM QA engineers performed several exhaustive QA regression cycles on our client's Interactive Mathematics software product, after the product had been subjected to overhaul associated with adding new core features. In the course of this project, the team performed manual testing of over 100 individual math lessons contained in the product, making sure that content and functionality of the lessons were not impaired by retrofits, reporting problems and regressing discovered bugs on new builds.

Academic Systems, a Lightspan Company, is a leading provider of interactive multimedia instructional programs for colleges and secondary schools. EAI AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT FOR ENTERPRISES
LARGE FINANCIAL BROKERAGE COMPANY: DATA WAREHOUSING CONSTRUCTION

A team of XIM specialists designed the enterprise data warehouse system architecture and developed Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Knowledge Management (KM), and Business Intelligence (BI) client server solutions using third-party OLAPs (Business Objects, Seagate Crystal Info, Seagate HOLOS, Brio, and Hyperion's Essbase).

XIM also implemented the enterprise data warehouse on Unix using Oracle by developing and implementing various Web applications, for B2B and B2E solutions; interfaced Web applications with a variety of back-end systems (utilizing ODBC, PERL, ASP, HTML, CGI, JAVA on Netscape and Apache web servers). XIM also developed and implemented a number of new procedures, tools, and standards for the IT department of this Large Financial Brokerage Company.

In addition, XIM implemented Y2K-related conversions from mainframe processing into a client-server OLAP solution (UNIX, Mainframe/MVS, NT, Oracle).

INTERTRADE : DATA TRANSFORMATION SERVICES

In an ongoing series of projects XIM develops and tests data transformation components for particular implementation scenarios of InterTrade's platform. The components provide real time data transformation from variety of legacy EDI formats to unified XML format.

SATELLITE HEALTHCARE: SOFTWARE AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION

XIM team worked in conjunction with client managers to find solutions for an electronic clinical information system that captures treatment, laboratory, clinical, and hospitalization information and provides readily accessible and centralized data effectively managing all electronic medical information. The system provides secured, web-enabled view for physician and caregiver access to the patient chart, including vital signs, laboratory results, treatment schedule and patient billing data. It also provides access to accurate patient information in a timely manner and is critical to providing quality care and reducing medical errors.

Satellite Healthcare provides multiple dialysis programs to patients with kidney disease through 14 treatment centers in Northern California. Its facility-based programs provide care to patients requiring comprehensive clinical support during dialysis treatments. However, self-care dialysis training services are also offered to those that want to perform dialysis services at home.

NEXTOFFICE CORPORATION : DATABASE DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE

XIM team of three DBAs (with one on-site in the U.S. and two in Moscow) and three SQL programmers (all three in Moscow) designed and implemented the database framework of the company deploying Oracle Server (7servers 10 instances).

The team provided consulting expertise with design, implementation, and tuning of database models and schemas. XIM executed installation and customization of Oracle Applications, and integrated Oracle Applications into Next Office framework.

Using distributed databases and XML messaging, XIM developed applications for data transfer between Oracle and SQL Server databases, created a system and processes for monitoring and administering databases, accessible from variety of interfaces – Web, Mobile browser, and OEM.

XIM designed and built a fully integrated Accounting Software System for BAI, Inc. The system was fully integrated with the functions performed by BAI, Inc from Work Orders, to Billings and Financials, Inventory Control, Bar-coding, Imaging, Quotes, Exchanges and Purchases to Invoicing, E-mail and HTML document integration. BAI, Inc. supplies military and commercial aircraft, helicopter, missile and communications spare parts to end-users and OEM partners.

IWAY SOFTWARE

XIM, Inc. has been successfully providing IT consulting services for iWay since June 2003. The companies have also signed a Value-Added Re-seller agreement. ASK JEEVES : WEB SITE CREATION AND MAINTENANCE

XIM consultants participated in internal technology teams: Site Engineering, QA, Data Services, and Project Management. XIM team members were responsible for design engineering, developing and maintaining company related Internet products as well as related database architectures, ongoing site development, and day-to-day operations.

XIM’s specialists provided architectural recommendations, created detailed system designs, and developed software architectures to support the company’s ASP offering. XIM also participated in technical integration of acquired companies’ technologies.

In its Moscow location, XIM developed NLQCT, a “Natural Language Questions Clustering Tool” for AskJeeves, Inc. State-of-the-art technology used in this software is based on semantic analysis of documents that uses Bayesian algorithm and elements of neural network computing. This means the software can be quickly adapted to any language, as the technology deals with concepts rather than with the words that are used to describe these concepts. Adaptation of the software to a new language requires a relatively limited amount of work. Then the system learns automatically during the 'training' phase, achieving mathematical precision of defining concepts of language in each specific case.
